KAMACHI FOR MAYOR START NOW

I SUGGEST SCOTT KAMACHI START RUNNING FOR MAYOR NOW. HE HAS THE BUSINESS SENSE FOR THE JOB AND HE PROVED IT WHEN HE WAS ON THE COUNCIL BEFORE. BRYAN HAS PROVED HIMSELF AS BUDGET MINDED AND THAT HE WAS REASONABLE AND PRUDENT WHEN HE WAS THE POLICE CHIEF. HE WOULD MAKE A GOOD MAYOR ALSO. HOWEVER IF HE WILL CONTINUE ON THE COUNCIL AND SCOTT AS MAYOR WITH A COUPLE NEW COUNCIL MEMBERS THAT KNOW HOW TO SAY NO THIS CITY COULD TURN AROUND IT'S SPENDING AND IT'S IMAGE. FIRST THING TO CHANGE THE IMAGE WOULD BE TO GET A NEW POLICE CHIEF THAT KNOWS THE PEOPLE AND HAS A GOOD HEAD ON HIS SHOULDERS. THAT WOULD BE AN EASY PICK, APPOINT LUKE DAVIS AS POLICE CHIEF IF HE WOULD ACCEPT. HE IS JUST THE MAN FOR THE JOB. A LEVEL HEADED COMMON SENSE INDIVIDUAL. HE GREW UP HERE, HE KNOWS THE COMMUNITTY AND IT'S PEOPLE. HE HAS THE GOOD SENSE AND GUTS TO CLEAN HOUSE WITH THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND TO BRING BACK THE WELL KNOWN AND KNOWLEDEABLE IMAGE IT HAD STATEWIDE PRIOR TO THE FORMER CHIEF'S RETIREMENT. GARTH PROVED HE WASN'T MAYOR MATERIAL AS A COUNCILMAN BY GOING ALONG TO GET ALONG AND LOOK AT THE MESS WERE IN. THE COUNCIL MUST HAVE FELT THEY OWED IT TO HIM BECAUSE HE WAS ON THE COUNCIL SO LONG. DOESN'T EVEN PAY HIS OWN TAXES. I DON'T BELIEVE WOODROW WOULD BE ANY DIFFERENT THAN GARTH EITHER. A NICE PERSON BUT NOT MAYOR MATERIAL. MAY NOT HURT TO HAVE A NEW CITY LAWYER.

Scott would be a good mayor, but he has a business to think about and politics do not always mix well with business. Fullmer has run his course, has not got the personality to be a Mayor. Luke Davis, Thad Garner, Bart Quayle, there are many young LOCAL people that would make a good Chief of Police.
Don Powell would make good Mayor, also. Fullmer and Rose are not seeking re-election in Novemeber. Get out there and find some one that will REPRESENT you.

I totally agree with you that Donald Powell would make a great mayor. He would get the job done and do it right. Thad Garner and Bart Quayle are greatChief of Police material. I think that we need to convice Don to run. That way he would get the City back to the normal St. Anthony that all of us love.

I would support Don too. Who ever we can get to run that will turn the City around I am for. However we need just one good canidate, so the votes are not split between two or more possibly causing a loss of either and a same o same o type gets elected and then nothing will change.

I don't think Scott would be a good mayor. His personality is not well suited to public office but he certainly has the knowledge to run a busness efficiently. Like someone said he has a busness to run. As for Don Powell I not sure he would make a good mayor either. We probably need some new blood in the office but I don't have a clue who that would be. I have heard Dave Lumis might run at one time but not sure he is still interested. I know one thing we need a mayor and cousel that will cut the spending and run on a balanced budget. We are still very flush with police officers in St. Anthony. We have the county law enforcemnt Bldg. and between county and city officers they are crowling over each other. We still see city officers patroling the freeway. Its obvious they don't have enough to keep them busy in town. Maybe we need to contract that service out. The dispatcher answers all the 911 calls anyway.
